The small talk at the beginning of the phone
conversation is masking a request
My new furniture can be trashed in one visit
I’m grateful for caller ID
Patience is a virtue
Sometimes they seem so different, you question whether you’re adopted
The baby really does get spoiled
They have no concept of time- especially when it comes to “being on time”
Never admit whose side you’re really on; it will
come back to bite you later
Always count to ten
The secret that you tell someone, never really is
And here’s a bonus one!
When they walk through the door, I instantly
meld into their presence. I become part of a circle of trust whose bond is as
strong as steel. Years of collective joys and sorrows remind us that we belong
to each other. And more importantly, we are a part of each other. The bond is

And I wouldn’t trade them for nuthin.’ Well…almost nuthin.’
